That still doesn't mean that they are any good. Well, since you can only revoke one Oscar in this little scenario, that would still leave "Return of the King" with what? Sixty-seven other Oscars? I would have taken the Oscar it won for Best Original Song, and instead award it to the "Kiss at the end of the rainbow" song from A Mighty Wind.
