I think I may be able to get : past Will Smith in the lead. But for me, this has been the strongest summer : in years. I think the worst summer in recent memory was 1998. There was : almost nothing that really was a "must see" for me. I think I ended up only : seeing Deep Impact that summer. In 1998 I looked forward to Armageddon and Saving Private Ryan, oh and also Blade. For me, 1999 was the weakest recent summer for big movies. It started with the huge disappointment of The Phantom Menace, and the only really good, big movie to come out that summer was The Sixth Sense. Huge disappointments that summer included The Thirteenth Warrior, The Haunting, Mystery Men, Wild Wild West, etc.. not to mention all the idiots going around saying "yeah baybee" cuz of that stupid Austin Powers sequel. |
