| I'm surprised that this film isn't more widely appreciated. I know that some Scorsese fans like it, but I think it deserves far more respect than it receives. Some critics complained that it was dull, but I feel that it was insanely entertaining and engaging. Visually, it is superb, and Nicolas Cage, an actor who I'm usually not crazy about, delivers a superb performance. Plus, the film just has a sick sense of humor that only Scorsese can deliver. What do you guys think? |
