Topic: The OSCAR chat thread...!! (and predictions) Forum: JoBlo
I salute them for being un-Hollywood and I will always love their work and look forward to their future projects but not giving public recognition and thanking the author of their work is beyond being shy, simple in their creative process or just un-Hollywood, it's arrogant even if they think it isn't. I don't know how well you know McCarthy to say that but as both him and the Coen brothers have big fan bases, their actions have repercussions. Personally they probably don't give a shit what their fans think of them and they could be laughing about not thanking McCarthy in the back with McCarthy himself, but whether they like it or not, the general opinion of the people I've talked to and some schmoes here it seems, is that they they came off as arrogant and ungrateful and why do that when it's so easy to deservedly thank the man for writing the book that got them 6 Oscars between them. I don't know. They thank the producer for giving them the book though....hahahaha.
