And just for the record, I thought the Coens' speeches were great. Just because they don't stand there blubbering into the microphone thanking everyone that pops into their head doesn't mean it was a bad speech. They're obviously uncomfortable speaking about their work in front of such large crowds; I'd probably be the same way. Christ, they said "Thank you," isn't that enough? Overall, I was very pleased with how the awards ceremony turned out. And whilst Cate is a great actress, it was nice to see David Bowie win for Best Supporting Actress. Right on the money their man.
