By the word, Epic, I mean historical sword n sandal type sagas that have been made over the last couple of decades, and then some. Movies such as "300," "RAN," "The Last Samurai," "Braveheart," "Gladiator," "Lord of the Rings Trilogy," "Troy," "Kingdom of Heaven," "Alexander," "King Arthur," "Asoka." etc etc etc, blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda.... So what word? What grand sweeping blood-thirsty epic film is next? Hannibal is slated for a 2009 release. I hope it's good. I have a few documentaries on the real life Hannibal. And he was a master tactician and warrior. I sincerely hope that Diesel's take is at least 50% accurate to the story. Time will tell. I never get tired of this genre. The one exception being "Alexander." zzzzzz |
